Production Ticket Terms & Conditions
By purchasing tickets for any Fantasia Showstoppers production, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
 

1. Proof of Purchase and Admission:
This ticket serves as proof of purchase for the specified event and must be presented upon admission.
Admittance will only be granted with a valid ticket.


2. Ticket Specifics:
Each ticket is specific to the individual named on it and is non-transferable.

Only one person will be admitted per valid ticket.


3. Ticket Duplication and Falsification:
Duplicating or reproducing tickets for the purpose of falsifying entry is strictly prohibited.

 

4. Refunds and Cancellations:
No refunds will be issued for non-attendance or any other reason.
In the event of a cancelled performance, a full refund will be provided.


5. Right to Refuse Entry:
Fantasia Showstoppers reserves the right to deny entry to anyone for valid reasons.


6. Tax Invoice or Receipt:
This ticket may serve as a tax invoice or receipt for event payments if applicable.

 

7. Responsibility and Inquiries:
Fantasia Showstoppers is solely responsible for all aspects of ticket sales.

8. Proof of Age and Concession:
Proof of age or a concession card may be requested for age-restricted or discounted tickets.

 

9. Latecomers and Seating:
Latecomers will be seated during suitable breaks and no refunds will be issued.
Doors open 20-30 minutes before the scheduled event.

 

10. Ticket Resale and Scalping:
Tickets cannot be resold at a price exceeding the original purchase price.
Scalped tickets may be invalidated, and entry denied.

 

11. Behaviour and Refusal of Entry:
Individuals displaying disruptive, threatening, or unruly behaviour may be refused entry without refund.

 

12. Filming and Photography:
Fantasia Showstoppers retains the right to film, photograph, or record the event for promotional purposes.

 

13. Data Collection and Privacy:
Any data collected for marketing purposes will adhere to The Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act).
Personal information will not be used for marketing without explicit consent provided during purchase. Consent can be withdrawn by contacting contact@fantasiashowstoppers.com.

Enrichment Programmes

Enrichment Programmes Terms & Conditions
By booking your child into any of Fantasia Showstoppers' Enrichment Programmes, including Drama Classes, Musical Theatre Classes, Show Choir, and Holiday Workshops, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

1. Proof of Purchase and Admission:
The booking confirmation email serves as proof of purchase for the enrolled programme and must be presented at the time of admission.
Admittance will be granted only upon presentation of the booking confirmation.

 

2. Booking Specifics:
Each booking is specific to the registered child and programme, and it is non-transferable.
Only one child is allowed per booked slot.

 

3. Ticket Duplication and Falsification:
Duplication of booking confirmations for the purpose of falsifying entry is strictly prohibited.


4. Refunds and Cancellations:
Refunds will not be provided for non-attendance or any other reasons.
In case of programme cancellation by Fantasia Showstoppers, a full refund will be issued.

 

5. Right to Refuse Entry:
Fantasia Showstoppers staff reserves the right to refuse entry to any child or accompanying adult for valid reasons.

 

6. Tax Invoice or Receipt:
The booking confirmation may serve as a tax invoice or receipt for event payments as applicable.

 

7. Responsibility and Inquiries:
Fantasia Showstoppers is solely responsible for all matters related to the enrolment process.

8. Proof of Age and Concession:
Proof of age or a concession card may be requested to validate eligibility for certain programmes.

 

9. Ticket Resale and Scalping:
Bookings cannot be resold at a price higher than the original purchase price.
Scalped tickets may be cancelled, and entry will be denied.

 

10. Behaviour and Refusal of Entry:
Children who exhibit disruptive, threatening, or unruly behaviour may be asked to leave the premises without a refund.

 

11. Filming and Photography:
Fantasia Showstoppers retains the right to film, photograph, or video record the programmes for any purposes.

Costume Hire

Fantasia Showstoppers Inc is a community theatre organisation that prides itself on producing the highest possible caliber productions. To that end, we offer costume rentals to other responsible community and school organisations. We know you understand the time, effort, and love put into the production of costumes and know that replacement is next to impossible. We know you will care for the garments we are renting to you.

Individual costume Rental - $10.00 per costume
Individual Prop Rental - from $5 per item
Term of Hire - one month 
Security Deposit - 20% of total hire charge 


Cleaning
All costume pieces must be dry‐cleaned or laundered prior to return unless otherwise stated. We expect the costumes will be cleaned and maintained during your run. 
Items returned unclean will be assessed and charged against the security deposit.


Alterations
Costumes may be altered to fit, but must be returned to their original condition before cleaning and returning. Costumes may NOT be cut, dyed, painted or permanently altered without express permission from Fantasia Showstoppers Inc. Tape, iron on bonding web, glue or any other type of adhesives may NOT be used on costumes. All alterations must be sewn.


Damaged or Lost Costumes and Props
Normal wear and tear on costumes is expected and won’t incur extra charges. Damage beyond normal wear and tear will incur damage charges. Damage charges will be assessed for broken zippers, detached garment pieces, make‐up or other permanent stains or any other damage that renders the costume not rentable. Damage fees include the cost of the supplies needed to restore the garment to its original state as well as labour costs. Major damage to costumes, including irreparable tears, major seam damage, damage from pins, or irreversible alterations will be assessed at the replacement value of the costume. Lost costumes will be charged a fee equivalent to the replacement value of the costume.


Return Date
The return date is 10 days after the close of your show.


Security Deposit and Payments
All rentals require a 20% security deposit. Payment is due at the time of the costume rental. Full payment can be paid by credit card, or direct deposit when goods are collected or despatched. Late fees are assessed at a rate of 10% per day, per costume.


Refunds
There are no refunds on rented costumes.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone or to limit the number of items rented.

Child Protection Policy

Introduction

Fantasia Showstoppers is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment

for all children and young people involved in our junior musical theatre group. Our organization

recognises its legal and moral obligations under Australian law to safeguard children from harm,

promote their wellbeing, and ensure their safety at all times.

This policy outlines our commitment to child protection and sets clear guidelines for staff,

volunteers, parents, and participants to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved.

Scope

This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, contractors, and any individuals working with Fantasia Showstoppers who interact with children and young people under the age of 18.

Legislative Framework

  • This policy aligns with relevant Australian legislation, including:

  • Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 (NSW)

  • Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012 (NSW)

  • National Principles for Child Safe Organisations

  • Relevant state/territory child protection laws as applicable.

Key Principles

1. Zero Tolerance for Harm: Fantasia Showstoppers has zero tolerance for child abuse or harm and will take all allegations seriously.

2. Best Interests of the Child: All decisions and actions prioritize the safety, wellbeing, and best interests of children.

3. Equity and Inclusion: We are committed to providing an inclusive environment where all children, regardless of race, gender, ability, religion, or background, feel valued and safe.

4. Shared Responsibility: Safeguarding children is a shared responsibility of the organization, staff, volunteers, parents, and the broader community.

Roles and Responsibilities

Staff and Volunteers:

  • Must have a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) and comply with relevant legal requirements.

  • Must complete child protection training provided by Fantasia Showstoppers.

  • Must follow all organizational policies and report any concerns about a child’s safety.

Parents and Guardians:

  • Are encouraged to engage with the organization to promote their child’s safety and wellbeing.

  • Must provide accurate information regarding emergency contacts and medical needs.

  • Must collect their children in person following any event unless prior written communication has been provided indicating alternative arrangements (e.g., meeting a parent or guardian elsewhere).

  • If parents are delayed in collecting their children, a fee equivalent to $50 per hour or part thereof will be charged to cover staff supervision costs.

 

Children and Young People:

  • Have the right to feel safe and be heard.

  • Are encouraged to raise concerns or speak to a trusted adult if they feel unsafe.

Code of Conduct

  • All staff, volunteers, and participants must adhere to the following standards:

  • Treat children with respect and dignity at all times.

  • Avoid being alone with a child where supervision by another adult is not possible.

  • Use appropriate language and behavior when interacting with children.

  • Avoid any physical contact that could be interpreted as inappropriate.

  • Refrain from developing personal relationships with children outside the context of their involvement in the group.

  • Report any concerns, disclosures, or suspicions of abuse to the designated Child Protection Officer.

 

Child Protection Procedures

Recruitment:

All staff and volunteers working with children must undergo a screening process, including a WWCC and reference checks.

Supervision:

Staff and volunteers must never be alone with a child in an enclosed space. Exceptions may include emergency situations or when waiting with a child for their parent/guardian outside the venue.

Ratios of adults to children will comply with industry best practices and legal requirements.

Reporting:

  • Any suspicion or disclosure of harm must be reported immediately to the designated Child Protection Officer.

  • The Child Protection Officer will assess the concern and, if necessary, escalate it to the relevant statutory authority (e.g., Department of Communities and Justice).

  • Confidentiality will be maintained to the extent possible while ensuring the safety of the child.

Record Keeping:

  • All records of incidents, concerns, and actions taken will be securely stored and managed in compliance with privacy laws.

Responding to Disclosures of Harm

1. Listen: Stay calm, listen attentively, and avoid interrupting.

2. Reassure: Reassure the child that they have done the right thing by speaking up.

3. Do Not Investigate: Do not ask leading questions or attempt to investigate the matter.

4. Report: Follow the reporting procedure outlined above.

Training and Awareness

  • All staff and volunteers will complete regular child protection training.

  • Parents will be informed of our child protection policy during registration and orientation sessions.

  • Children will be educated about their rights and how to seek help if they feel unsafe.

 

Review and Continuous Improvement

This policy will be reviewed annually or as required to ensure it remains current and effective.

Feedback from staff, parents, and participants will be considered as part of the review process.
